Came here for breakfast on a Thursday morning. It was very busy but there was only one employee. Despite being slammed, I was served promptly and my food was delicious. My waitress was extremely kind. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is that I think they should have maybe one more person there in the morning.

I miss Cedar Point! Being a military family, this was the best place to go. The staff, including back of house and the owners knew you by name. Always greeted you and made you feel valued, almost like you were family. There was never any turnover with staff. The food was always amazing. If there was a problem, they were happy to fix it. My old favorite was the Dropkick club, with crispy fries and homemade ranch dressing. I still to this day can't find a piece of pecan or peanut butter pie as good as Ms. Sandy's.

  • *****

Best place to eat on the days you want an actual home cooked meal, very family oriented and they have so much respect for everybody there especially military I know fist hand being in the navy that I can call that a 2nd home definitely recommend this to anybody near base or anybody stopping by to have a good breakfast or lunch

We came to escape hurricane Irma and found this great restaurant for breakfast. Food was great and staff was very friendly.

Went here for dinner one night while staying in Fayetteville. It was worth the drive. Our food was delicious and plentiful. Prices were pretty good for real food. The fried squash was the best I've ever had. The beautiful waitress personally made my salad, and it was perfect.

I ended up taking a lot of food back to my motel room. Thankfully there was a fridge and microwave. I highly recommend this place, and would eat here again if ever back in Fayetteville.

Mom and pop vibe. Very personable staff. The breakfast is great with home style food. Relaxed atmosphere. Whenever family comes we go, and so should you.

    Great breakfast for lunch.

I had 2 eggs (over-easy), corned beef hash, grits, toast, and 2 pancakes.

    *Eggs were perfect
*Corned beef hash was seasoned well (I thought I would be getting homemade corned beef hash) but I'm 90% sure it was from a can.
    *grits were perfectly seasoned
*Pancakes were cooked to a perfect golden brown, I personally would add an extra egg per eight pancake batch, to help them stay on the fork better. but the taste was good with a hint of vanilla/nutmeg.

For all that the grand total with water to drink was 11.94 plus tax. I would definitely go back to try other menu items or if I didn't feel like cooking at home.

We love coming here for breakfast on the weekends! The food and service are always amazing.

Real sweet tea and good, hot, fast food. that's all you really need on a lazy Sunday midafternoon. I have been driving past this place for years and it is truly a hole in the wall. It's just down the street from IHOP and the food is real and very tasty. I ordered a simple BLT with an scrambled egg on the side and it was on the table within 5 minutes and piping hot!

The only thing that takes away from it is the smell of the restaurant. It's probably the carpet but I can't give 5 stars because of that. Otherwise it was awesome. Check out restaurant.com for a half off $20 coupon.

  • *****

Good portions for breakfast at great prices! Will def be back to try something else next time, prob for lunch.

  • *****

Definitely worth the visit. A local restaurant that is busy for breakfast. Fayetteville and Spring Lake have so many chain or franchise restaurants. It is nice to treasure the local tastes from time to time. I ordered the country omelet, son ordered french toast, and wife ordered pineapple upside down pancakes. Yes that's right, pineapple upside down pancakes. So there is originality in the menu. Decent food prices and options. However, I felt the beverage prices were a little high.

Good atmosphere and service. Come right in sit right down.

This is a free seating restaurant which is nice if you have a baby or little one. Very well price very nice portions. The breakfast food was very good and they have specials. I will be coming back again.

  • *****

Absolutely love this little mom & pop restaurant. Friendly service that you really won't find anywhere else in the area. You can easily get twice the food for half the price that tastes twice as good as a chain restaurant.

  • *****

Love this place. Nice mom and pop stop. Yummy food. Fast service. Only thing i would consider is friendlier servers. Love it tho

  • *****

Nice small mom an pop restaurant. Came in for lunch food was good and fresh waitress was nice and polite prices were just a little high for my liking

Good place for breakfast. Great diner atmosphere.

Super friendly staff and delicious food, will definitely go back.

  • *****

Environment is nice and relaxing. The food was good overall. The only thing I had a small issues with, was the pancakes. They had a taste that I was not used to, but it may be great for someone else. My wife and I came around 1100 on a Sunday, so not everyone was out of church yet. During normal weekend hours this place could be a little more busy.

  • *****

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food!! Service was great and the food came out quickly after we ordered it!!!

A lil pricy but simple and quite.. breakfast place.

Solid breakfast and great service, very fast and friendly. Places like yours are the reason I never go to chains anymore. Keep up the great work!

The food was good but overpriced in my opinion. The service was great though!

Such a cute family restaurant where you leave feeling like the employees are your friends. Affordable, home cooked delicious food! They even fed our yellow lab, who was in the bed of our truck some bacon on the house.

This resteraunt is a must eat at if you are looking for that down home feel good meal. Not only the setting but the staff will make you feel as if you are sitting at your moms table. The breakfasts are amazing and will always leave your stomach and soul satisfied. I have been a patron of this place for 14 years and will continue to be as long as they keep cooking.

Visiting from out of town and decided to check this place out for breakfast and it was delicious!!! Need one of these places in Columbus, GA. The food was delicious! Service and food were great! Nice home cooked meals and atmosphere! Definitely will return when back in the area.

  • *****

I went here for lunch with some friends and the food was good. It's a family owned restaurant and you may pass by it often. I recommend stopping here for lunch. I did see they have all you can eat pancakes for $6 so I will have to try that one day.

  • *****

Way better than IHOP and way better service. Used to go there every Sunday and have breakfast with a friend of mine. Will be moving back soon and this will be the first place I take my family.

Food was so good!! Loved the homemade hashbrowns and French toast. Great service!

  • *****

Great service. Friendly staff. The food comes out fast and hot. I never would have thought to come here, but I'm glad I did. The sweet tea was delicious, just the right amount of diabetes. I ordered breakfast and was not disappointed. This is pretty much diner food.

Retailmenot.com supporters and the very best chicken and dumplings I've had in decades.

    Great down home southern cooking.

Great food. Love the small town places

This place was for the most part on point. Not too long ago my family were completely disappointed by another highly recommended Mom&Dad breakfast place, for every borderline to bad review about this place there was about two to go with it, so we gave it a shot. I will say we were pleasantly surprised. In the future I'll be steering clear of the coffee and pancakes, but the hashbrowns, French Toast & eggs scrambled with ham are still big winners, we'll be coming back again most definitely.

Great and friendly place. Quick service and amazing home style food. A++ all around. Its great as a place to go alone or as a family!

Been here a few times and each time has been great. It's not a big place and is easy to miss unless you're looking for it but it with mostly regulars who go in it has a laid back vibe. The food is your basic mom and pop breakfast but it's good and decently priced. I will definitely keep coming back

  • *****

This is a quaint family owned restaurant. The food and service was great! I would recommend this if you prefer homestyle cooking. Much better than the other breakfast spot down the street.

  • *****

Definitely a little hole in the wall diner. Sometimes these are the best places to go. The staff is very friendly. I got the Farmers Market Omelette. It was OK. I'm not a fan of American cheese on my omelette so next time I'm going to ask for cheddar cheese.

The hash browns are delicious. The coffee is good. What more do you need for a good old fashioned breakfast?

    I'll be back!

  • *****

The ultimate mom & pop diner. I've enjoyed many breakfasts here, each time I've been just as satisfied as the last. I'm pretty sure everything is cooked in grease...which definitely contributes to the yum factor. Only downside is the coffee...I wish they would brew it stronger.

  • *****

Stopped in for lunch with the wife and was rewarded with good, down-home Southern cooking. The staff were willing to accommodate my request for a plate of the veggie sides as my meal (mashed taters, okra, squash, green beans, black eyed peas and corn) and just charged me the same as for the daily special. The okra was fresh -...

Friendly; BLT was awesome; great fries; but needs to be remodeled inside.

Stopped by Cedar Point for breakfast. Great little (local) place to eat. Good portions, great food. I would recommend a plate of home fries with their cream gravy poured over the top. Add eggs and a side of bacon and you will be full all day! Good coffee as well. Great little diner.

Good local restaurant in Spring Lake
The Cedar Point Restaurant located in Spring Lake is your typical small family style restaurant that is open for both breakfast and lunch everyday of the week. The restaurant is located along N. Bragg Boulevard close to Ft. Bragg. There are several tables and booths inside and looks to be large enough for the crowd that frequents the restaurant. The...

Meat and 3 restaurants are getting hard to find and this is a really good one.  Chicken & Dumplings on Tuesdays!  Breakfast all day.  Excellent patty-melt burger too.  Very near Fort Bragg.

  • *****

Great friendly service. Owner was so sweet. Will be back. Although will avoid pancakes next time.

  • *****

Its a small joint outside Pope-Fort Bragg that has some great breakfast and won't pinch your wallet. More of a home-cooking place, where the locals eat instead of chain restaurants. Its a small staff to serve the folks and may take awhile for the food to come out, but its worth the wait.

  • *****

Over the years, Spring Lake has filled with several fast-food and big-name restaurants that serve rather low quality food at ridiculous prices. The trend seems towards $50 1-inch square sandwiches consisting of wilted lettuce and mystery meat (or, to cater to vegetarian crowd, mystery plant).  But with a coupon, you can get 2-for-1!

Fortunately, a few high-quality, inexpensive restaurants still flourish here.  At the top of that list is the family owned Cedar Point restaurant.

Over past 10 years now, I have eaten several times at Cedar Point.  If you have read my other reviews, you can guess that I would need a few good reasons for repeat visits to any eatery.

Let's start with ambiance.  When you first step through the door (open all week, between 6 AM and 3 PM), you are greeted by family pictures on the wall and the intimate arrangements of the tables and chairs.  It's as though you have entered a large dining room of someone's cozy home (but without the large dog and its friendly, probing nose).  As you talk with the waitresses and the owners, you feel as part of a happy family during their mealtime.

Only the touch of a menu brings you back to a restaurant setting.  Even then, as you peruse the food selections, it's like being in a good friend's home where their mom enjoys cooking everything - from tasty breakfast omelets to filling lunch sandwiches to mouth-watering meat-and-potato dinners.  Only this mom has taken time to write everything down just for you, along with a modest price list. (Think of her as "there's no such thing as free lunch, but it doesn't have to be overpriced" type mom.)

Next, of course, is the full-flavored food.  Usually, I go there for a hearty breakfast of creamed beef on toast, two eggs, hash browns, bacon, a side order of toast, and a seemingly bottomless cup of coffee.  The quality and quantity that I get for $8 puts the chain restaurants in the area to shame.  (If you've been to the nearby disappointment known as IHOP, you'll know what I mean.)

And the service?  Even when I've stopped by during rush hours, I've been impressed by the how well the cook prepared my meal and how quickly a smiling (though slightly frazzled) waitress delivered the tasty morsels to my table.

How well do I enjoy this place?  When I have out-of-town visitors, I show off the few good points of living in Spring Lake by taking them to Cedar Point restaurant.

All in all, if you're looking for a filling, inexpensive meal, I would recommend this fine establishment.  Of course, your mileage may vary; so, let me know what you think!

What a quaint place! This is North Carolina country breakfast at its best. I arrived to join my friend's already seated and found that we owned the place. It was empty as the last soldiers finished paying and passed me as I was coming in. Peace and quiet achieved.

My friends and I dined in silence for the rest of the meal. Speaking of which, I ordered the Western omelet, side pc country ham and milk to drink. The staff was friendly and seemed patient enough.

  • *****

Cedar Point is a wonderful mom and pop type of place to eat. Great specials, great food, and plan to take some home. The servings are huge! Awesome value for the money.

  • *****

My coworkers and I tried this place for lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This place is a cute, quaint place that feels like you just stepped into your grandma's house. The food quality is good and the service is very personable. The food was tasty, the service was fantastic, and the prices are absolutely perfect.

I tried the chili and had a little bite of my coworkers liver dish and both were cooked well. I would definitely go back here again for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner.

  • *****

First of all, the atmosphere is very comfortable and the waitress is definitely one of the best in Fayetteville. Second,  not only is the food highly satisfying, but the prices are perfect. When prices are too low, I think low quality. When they are too high, I leave thinking about the cost instead of the food. Needless to say, I'll be back.

  • *****

Pretty good home cooked food. Had the egg, bacon, hash browns ( that are really fried potatoes), and biscuit. Very nice waitress. Only thing I didn't like is that it smelt like cigarettes.

  • *****

We always drive past this place and notice cars there so we figured we would try it out. I got French toast and bacon. The food is really good here!

  • *****

My only negative would be that the decor is a little weird, lots of family photos, not sure who the family is. The food was great, the atmosphere was real comfortable, service was great (not the fastest, but there was only two servers, no worries), the price was on point ($13 for a omelette, biscuit, and diet coke). I'm upset I didn't discover this gem sooner.

  • *****

I don't give out too many 5 stars. But I love the homemade feel of this place. The food is amazing and the folks who work there are the nicest I've met in a while. It's sort of become my weekend ritual.

  • *****

Went here for breakfasting weekend and the food was really, really amazing. Quaint place and very southern feeling.

  • *****

I could have breakfast anytime anyday! This was a nice choice on a whim! To me any place that closes earlier than most is a tell tale sign it's legit!

It's small and quaint! The homefries were like you had just popped them off the stove at grannies. Nice place to go!

This is a great place to go if you're in the mood for breakfast but dont want to go to Waffle House. The food is good and so is the service. The only big downfall is that they're only open for breakfast and lunch.

Very good for breakfast have never eaten there for lunch yet.

What a nice restaurant. My husband and I come here for lunch when we can and we love the atmosphere and food. Especially the hushpuppies! I wish I knew how to make them like they do. Thank you for having such a nice restaurant in Spring Lake. We were pleasantly surprised. Not what you would expect for the area. Also, being an Air Force family, my husband and I love the military support they have.

I LOVE THE PLACE....EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY AND IT HAS A COUNTRY ATMOSPHERE...FOOD IS GREAT...
